We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, upload documents, add recipients, or contact support. This includes: name, email address, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers), document content you upload, and signature data. We also collect usage data such as IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — used to operate the service and create audit trails.
We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Seal-A-Doc service; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails (signing requests, reminders, completion notifications); generate electronic signing activity records; respond to support inquiries; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Documents you upload and signature data are stored securely and used solely to provide the signing service. New workspace document uploads use private storage with access checks and temporary download links. We do not read your document content except as necessary to provide the service or when required by law.
We share your information only with: (a) Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, email delivery providers) — bound by confidentiality agreements; (b) Signing recipients — limited to their specific document access; (c) Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect our rights; (d) Successors in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you). We do not sell or rent your data to third-party marketers.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Keep your own copies of completed documents and their audit trails for the retention period applicable to your transactions; no fixed seven-year retention commitment is made here. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@sealadoc.com. Note: documents signed by other parties may be retained for those parties' legal purposes.
We use document access controls, private storage for new workspace uploads, and email-code verification for recipients. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@sealadoc.com.
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and application preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may affect your ability to log in and use the service.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations); withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Seal-A-Doc is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice in the app. Your continued use of Seal-A-Doc after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
