This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Seal-A-Doc and all related services. By using Seal-A-Doc, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation.
Seal-A-Doc may be used to: send, sign, and manage electronic documents; create and use reusable document templates; manage contacts and recipient workflows; and integrate with business processes requiring documented signatures and audit trails. Use is permitted only for lawful purposes consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
You may not use Seal-A-Doc to: (a) forge, impersonate, or misrepresent the identity of any individual or organization; (b) send fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documents; (c) sign documents on behalf of another person without proper legal authority; (d) transmit malware, phishing content, or malicious code; (e) engage in spam or unsolicited bulk communications; (f) circumvent access controls or attempt to gain unauthorized access; (g) violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights; (h) use the service for any activity that constitutes fraud, forgery, or identity theft.
You may not upload, store, or send documents that: contain illegal content; facilitate illegal activity; infringe on intellectual property rights; contain personally identifiable information in violation of applicable privacy laws; or are designed to deceive, manipulate, or defraud signers.
Do not use Seal-A-Doc for documents that legally require wet ink signatures or notarization, including wills, court orders, certain real estate transactions, and other documents expressly excluded under applicable law. See our Electronic Signature Disclosure for a full list.
Unlimited and Team cover ordinary business signing, subject to a 100-envelope limit per UTC calendar month. The Team allowance is shared across all three sender seats, including the owner. Annual subscriptions refresh their allowance monthly, not annually. One envelope is one document transaction regardless of recipients; each bulk-send copy is a separate envelope. At the limit, further sending is paused until the next month or you purchase extra envelope credits. Purchased credits are consumed only after the allowance and do not expire. Automated high-volume sending, unsolicited bulk communications, and attempts to bypass these limits are prohibited.
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine a violation has occurred, we may suspend or terminate your account, remove offending content, notify law enforcement, and pursue any other remedies available under law or our Terms of Service. We are not obligated to provide advance notice before taking action.
If you believe someone is using Seal-A-Doc in violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@sealadoc.com. Include as much detail as possible, including the envelope ID if known.
We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of Seal-A-Doc after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or in-app notification.
